Although my practice is self-pay, as an out-of-network provider my services are widely covered by many insurance companies.
If you plan to use your insurance benefits, here are some questions to ask your insurance carrier about the specifics of your plan:
- Will I be covered for tele-health sessions with an out-of-network, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)? (Reference: CPT Code 90837.95)
- Will I need pre-authorization?
- If I use out-of-network benefits, will I be reimbursed for the full amount or a portion?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it that portion?
- Where do I submit a superbill to get reimbursed? (It’s usually a fax, an online portal, or a physical mailing address.)
Note: My services are not covered by Medicare or Medicaid.
CounselingRates
- Individuals $265 per session
I’m happy to provide a you with a superbill (an invoice with all the necessary information) that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
Since I know submitting insurance claims can be daunting, I’ve set up an account with Reimbursify as an option. They act as a biller on your behalf, taking a small fee and % of what you get back, and they can help if any issues arise.
All fees are due at the time of service, payable by credit, debit, or HSA/FSA card on file.
Each session is 1 hour.
