Growth, healing, and hope
Growth, healing, and hope
from the comfort of your own space.
Nothing inspires me more than seeing women thrive.
I’m Karen Tessandore, a Licensed Professional Counselor, providing therapy via telehealth to women statewide in both Alaska and Colorado.
Ready to feel better?
I love helping women with…
Depression can affect anyone and is different from grief or feeling generally down or sad. If you’re not feeling like yourself I’m here to help.
Set a better standard for yourself. Learn to own your needs and cultivate assertiveness and boundary setting.
With a growing focus on emotional wellbeing for women during and after pregnancy, a wider range of challenges have now been identified. I offer compassionate, perinatal-informed support.
It is nice to be nice. Being nice at the expense of your own wellbeing though can be exhausting and lead to resentment. Therapy can help.
With most emotions, we tend to express them as we have them, but grieving can feel so bad and heavy that it’s natural to want to push it away. Counseling can provide a conduit for grief to move out of the body.
Considering whether it’s time to end your marriage can be upsetting and complicated. Therapy is a safe place to work through your feelings and make a plan that feels right for you.
Whether you are having an affair, your partner has cheated, or you are currently in a relationship as the other women, all three roles can be painful, confusing places.
When the standard you set for yourself is crushing you, it’s time to ask for help. If the very idea of making a mistake is enough to bring you to tears, I want you to know: life doesn’t have to feel like this.
Identify and change the thoughts and patterns in your life that aren’t serving you, so you can move forward as your authentic self.
Meet Alaska & Colorado Therapist Karen Tessandore
When I decided I wanted to be a therapist, I was 40-years-old and had not yet been past high school with my education. Looking back over my work life until that point, the thing I loved most turned out to be the rich conversations with coworkers and clients.
I realized I wanted to dedicate myself to helping women, full time.
Eight years of college later I opened my practice, and still love and am honored by every conversation I get to have here.
